At The Local Post Office
I live in a relatively small town currently, something like 52-60k in our 'planned community' (yet we have 117 restaurants!!!) and we are served by one very small post office. The Laguna Niguel, CA post office has almost ALWAYS been super busy, to packed, every time I've gone there. I'm real good at figuring out the best time to go to places to do my errands with the fewest people, still during the day, and easy to get in & out of. The post office has eluded me... Until Today! Today opened my eyes to the possibilities for the post office. I like the post office, it's very nice. I don't like the crowds & the waiting - something I've had to tolerate all 6 years that I've lived here (so far). It's ESPECIALLY crazy right before the Christmas holidays. I think I will do what I did today from now on. I was there at 10:30am on this Friday morning towards the end of August 2008! Maybe I should start taking a poll of peak hours and slowest times, from the managers and staff at all of the different places around, and make it into a list of some sort. That way, you could plan to either enjoy the crowds or avoid them all together. This COULD be some kind of info product! ;) Pam Hoffman
